Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, in collaboration with the police and community watch groups, have repelled a bandits’ attack in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to a post by security analyst Zagazola via his X handle, the incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday when the bandits invaded Yar Makera Quarters.

However, one resident, Aliyu Hassan, 70, was fatally shot during the attack, while another, Mustapha Ado, 35, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment.

Troops were said to be combing nearby areas to track down the fleeing bandits and restore calm to the community.
