See what Plateau Group did to victims of crisis

A Group in Plateau State, under the aegis of Tarok Elders Forum (TEF), has presented relief materials worth over N1 million to displaced people of Kumbwang and Lyanjit Communities of Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Our correspondent recall that recently Kumbwang and Langyit communities have clashed over land disputes resulting to the loss of lives and destruction of properties mostly food crops worth millions of naira in the area.

The leader of the delegation, Rev. Seth Nden while presenting the materials to the victims of the communal crises sued for peaceful co-existence among the people adding that no meaningful development will take place in an atmosphere of bitterness and rancour.

Rev. Nden also urged the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to as a matter of urgency assist the people by providing them with relief materials to cushion the effect of the crises.

He admonished the people of the communities to forgive and embrace one another and to ensure such urgly incident did not occur in their communitie again, stressing that the development is not only a great setback to the two communities but the entire Tarok’s land as a whole .

Intems donated to the victims of the communal clash includes bags of Rice, Maize, Blankets, Roofing Materials, Soup ingredients and many other household consumable.

In his remarks the District Head of Langtang Hon. Nicholas Selven Musa commended the efforts of Tarok Elders Forum for their show of love and compassion adding that the relief materials will help victims to alleviate their suffering.
