BREAKING: Aubamenyang Sends Message to Premier League Clubs After Completing Chelsea Move…Video
Pierre-Emerick Aubamenyang has sent a warning message to Premier League clubs after he completed a move to Chelsea. In a short video message shared via the official Twitter handle, Aubamenyang reiterated his resolve to complete the “unfinished business” he left behind before joining Barcelona.
After completing a €12m move to Stamford Bridge, Aubamenyang declared that he had ”unfinished business” in the Premier League. Recall that amid negotiations between Chelsea and Barcelona for his move to Stamford Bridge, Burglars reportedly attacked Auba’s residence at Casteldellfes on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Aubamenyang, 33, and his family were reportedly assaulted by the burglars, who invaded his apartment with dangerous weapons.
In contradiction to reports from Barcelona, the factual accounts of developments during the incident indicate that Aubamenyang was severely injured with his jaw broken in the process.
Recall that Barcelona had issued a statement claiming that Aubamenyang and his family came off the Burglary attack uninjured and were hale and hearty.
Meanwhile, Aubamenyang failed to make any public post seven days after the ugly incident, confirming reports that he must have likely been injured during the attack.
Negotiations between Chelsea and Barcelona to sign Aubamneyang were ongoing, with Chelsea looking set to broker a deal before the transfer deadline closes. The first meeting between both clubs was held on Tuesday, 30th August, while the second meeting was held on Wednesday, 31st August. Chelsea pegged the striker at €20m, while Barcelona demanded €25m.
Both parties had a relative advantage in the deal. Chelsea hoped to fill the void of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku, who had joined RB Leipzig and Inter Milan respectively. Barcelona, on the other hand, needs to remove the Gabon international off their payroll as the Catalan’s financial crisis lingers.
Aubamenyang was among the other two targets – Memhis Depay and Frenkie de Jong, who the club wanted to let go.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea finally reached a €14m agreement with Barcelona, with Xabi Alonso included, at the stroke of time. Pierre-Emerick Aubamenyang arrived London, making his public appearance since the attack. He has passed his medicals, and has signed a two-year contract with the club.
Aubamenyang returned to the Premier League as Chelsea’s seventh signing. He has made 24 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 13 goals in his 8-month spell with the Catalans.
After the official unveiling of the Gabon international, Aubamenyang has sent a clear message to Premier League clubs of his readiness to challenge for titles.
“I am happy and excited to be here, I have some unfinished business in the Premier and I am ready to have it completed,” he said.
It should be recalled that Aubamenyang joined Arsenal in 2017/18 season from Borussia Dortmund. He made 128 appearances for the North London club , scoring 68 goals and delivering 16 assists. The 33-year-old joined Barcelona after he reached a mutual agreement with Arsenal for the termination of his Arsenal contract.
Aubamenyan’s “unfinished business” is an allusion to his last disappointing spell which resulted in a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with Arsenal. He is returning on a mission to have the “unfinished business” finished...CONTINUE.YOUR.READING
Although he will lead the attack line for the Blues, Aubamneyang must put his past behind and leave up to expectations as he makes a dramatic return to the Premier League this season.
