Chelsea football club of England has broken the English Premier League transfer record in a single window.
Chelsea’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly, spent a total sum of £271.1million in a single transfer to break Manchester City’s record set at £223.65m in 2017.
The transfer window for English clubs ended at 11 pm Thursday, as the London club welcomed nine new players to their fold.
Chelsea Spending Spree
The newly signed players are Wesley Fofana (£69.5m), Denis Zakaria (loan), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10m), Marc Cucurella (£62m), Raheem Sterling (£50m), Kalidou Koulibaly (£34m), and Gabriel Slonina (£13m).
