NCD SPORT: Transfer Deal! Crystal Palace Owner Jordan Slams Chelsea’s New Signing Over Disrespect to Manager

Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan has questioned Wesley Fofana’s parting shot at Leicester City boss, Brendan Rodgers.

Chelsea signed the France star in a multi-million pounds deal on Wednesday, with the 21-year-old getting a seven-year contract.

After putting pen to paper for the Blues, Fofana released a statement on Instagram and appeared to criticise Rodgers for the handling of the long-running transfer saga.

“I have seen the statement, and that is not sly, it is explicit,” Jordan said on talkSPORT.

“That is basically saying you [Rodgers and the club] are a bunch of liars, and you hung me out to dry.

“Look the bottom line is, this is the nature of football. What we are seeing is the power of players becoming something more and more which is difficult to control.

“I am not suggesting players should be proles, or march in line, this is not 1984. What I am suggesting is that there is an element of you need to control the environment players play in.

“Otherwise, you see it so often, players getting managers out, and that should never really be the way. It should not be a given the players can down talk, get managers out and change a direction of a football club because they don’t like something.

“I think Wesley Fofana would have better served as being a little bit magnanimous, rather than feeling he needed to up scores.”
