BREAKING: Tottenham expert makes Eric Dier transfer claim after manager’s ‘big’ reveal
Paul Robinson has claimed Eric Dier is “unsellable” for Tottenham on current form.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 28-year-old is “one of the best centre-halves in the league” and should be in the next England squad.
Dier has been a central figure at Spurs since Antonio Conte’s appointment in November 2021.
As quoted by Football.London (2 September), Conte said there has been a “big improvement” from the centre-half who is now “100 per cent” focused.
The Spurs boss added it would take “important money” if a club was to try and sign Dier.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Dier’s value to Spurs, Robinson said: “Dier is unsellable at the moment.
“You could not replace him when you look at the way he is playing. Spurs are playing with a back three and there is nobody better in the Premier League playing in that role right now.
“Harry Maguire is not playing at Man United. I would have Dier over Maguire in that England squad at the moment..WATCH THE HIGHLIGHT
“Dier can play in a back three or a back four. Under Conte, Dier is playing the best football of his career.
