Gabriel Jesus reveals what Arsenal must do to become an elite team
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has opened up about what his team must do to become an elite team after their frustrating defeat to Manchester United.
Arsenal were welcomed at the Old Trafford by Manchester United on Sunday and they left the stadium with a loss which became the first time that they got a defeat this season. Arsenal lost 3-1 to Manchester United hence their unbeaten run getting cut short and this has sparked some frustration from the fans, and the players. Jesus has opened up on what they can learn from that game to become an elite team.
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus who has been outstanding this season was unable to get any goal in the important match against Manchester United despite the gunners having dominated the game in some certain periods. The gunners first thought that they had went in front when Gabriel Martinelli scored but VAR ruled it out hence remaining 0-0.
Manchester United then later scored but the gunners equalised via Bukayo Saka but then against the run of play, The Red Devils scored their second goal of the day through Marcus Rashford who later on in the last stages of the game scored another to make it 3-1. Gabriel Jesus has revealed his frustration with Sunday’s result and on what the gunners could to become an elite club.
“The feeling is frustration, because we control the game and were better than them. And then we just concede. But now is the time to learn from it and improve. We are doing so well this season, but there are still things to improve for everyone. Everyone is together and we stick together until the end, and that’s it.” Gabriel Jesus told The Standard.
“We came to play against a strong opponent and it’s always hard, it’s the Premier League. So we are not happy, because we played so much better [than United].”
“But that’s football, if you don’t go there and kill, you are going to have a big problem — and that’s what happened today.”
