Kevin Campbell has suggested Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk’s reputation saved him from being sent off at Everton on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Premier League striker is adamant Granit Xhaka would have been shown a red card if he had made a similar challenge.
Virgil van Dijk was booked for a high tackle on Toffees midfielder Amadou Onana in the second half of a goalless draw at Goodison Park on 3 September.

VAR official Darren England did not adjudge referee Anthony Taylor to have made a clear and obvious error.
As quoted by Sky Sports (3 September), Frank Lampard insisted Van Dijk should have been shown a straight red.
The Blues manager suggested the incident should have changed the complexity of the Merseyside derby.
When asked by Football Insider if reputation may have saved Van Dijk from a red card, Robinson said: “Possibly.
“If that is Granit Xhaka he is off, 100 per cent. That is the issue.
“It should not be who the perpetrator is, it should be the incident. Look at the incident for what it is.
