BREAKING: Sergio Ramos grabbed Leandro Paredes by the throat in PSG 2-1 Juventus, they were teammates a WEEK ago

Sergio Ramos quickly forgot that he and Leandro Paredes shared a dressing room for a season when he grabbed him by the throat in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 win over Juventus.

Kylian Mbappe struck twice in the first half before half-time substitute Weston McKennie pulled one back just after half-time at the Parc des Princes.

But a huge talking point was Ramos getting into it with Paredes, a man who was his teammate up until a WEEK ago when he joined Juve on loan on transfer deadline day.

Things got a bit spicy in the first half and of course Ramos and Paredes, two of football’s hot heads, were involved in the fracas after Mbappe was left on the deck.

Former Real Madrid captain Ramos aggressively put his hands on Paredes, who shoved him away. The Spaniard received a yellow card for his actions when it could quite easily have been a red card offence.

Ramos and Paredes were teammates like how many days ago?

Paredes was a teammate to Ramos just a while ago. Why is he pushing him?🤣🤣

Ramos & #Paredes are the kind of players that you absolutely adore when they play for your team and absolutely hate em when they are your opponents.

A month ago they were teammates 😭#PSGJuve #UCL

It was almost like the reversal of Ramos and Lionel Messi. The pair used to but heads all the time in El Clasico but now appear to be best pals in Paris.

But PSG midfielder Marco Verratti was not surprised in the slightest to see Ramos and Paredes have an altercation and says he would have “bet my house” on it happening.

“I am good friends with him,” the Italian told Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset after the win.

“The odds on that happening were pretty good, as I’d seen them go at it in training, so I’d have bet my house on that happening!

“They both care so much and put a lot of character into every challenge, but they always have a hug at the end.”

Angel di Maria, a five-time Ligue One winner, was denied an early return to Paris after picking up an injury.

He joined on a free transfer after his PSG contract expired at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
