BREAKING: Chelsea in pole position to sign No.10 England international
Chelsea are set to add Man United star Marcus Rashford when his deal expires next summer. Marcus has struggled to find consistent form for the Red Devils over the last few years. Rashford has been heavily criticised by many Man United supporters, but under Erik ten Hag this campaign, he’s managed to pick up some consistent form.
Due to his poor displays, England international’s yet to be offered a new deal at Man United, and as it stands, he will leave on a free transfer next summer. If he continues to impress under the Dutch coach, then there’s a good chance he will be offered a new contract, but the English winger won’t be short of interest if he does run down his deal.
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are ready to pounce if the Red Devils fail to tie the Englishman down to a new contract. The 24-year-old forward’s ability to play through the middle as well as out wide could be useful for the London club, especially after they lost Lukaku and Werner during the summer transfer window.
With Aubameyang brought in as a short-term fix to their attacking problems, Marcus could be the Blues’ long-term solution. However, Erik ten Hag has backed Rashford to succeed. Marcus has responded well to the coach, scoring three goals and assisting twice in six league matches.
His goals against Liverpool and Arsenal were match-winners. The Dutch manager wants him to stay and be a part of his project. Marcus’ improved attitude on the pitch shows that he is determined to fight for the club, and we don’t envisage him leaving.
