JUST IN: Liverpool Transfer News! Liverpool FC Gaffer Jurgen Klopp Stopped 3 Big Signings
Liverpool Transfer News: Liverpool FC gaffer Jurgen Klopp has reportedly ruled out three big name signings in order to sign Uruguayan football Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez at the start of the season after paying £85 million to the Portuguese club Benfica.
He had a great start to his Liverpool career and a goal in his debut match against Manchester City in the Community Shield. Liverpool won the match 3-1 and lifted their 16th Community Shield title.
He again was on the scoresheet in Liverpool’s opening day English Premier League fixture against Fulham and also assisted Mohammad Salah’s equaliser after coming on as a sub and ensuring one point out of the match. However, since then things have been quite different.
According to Spanish newspaper El Pais Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp “flatly ruled out” the moves of Robert Lewandowski, Richarlison, and Son Heung-min.
After winning the FA Community Shield, Liverpool had a very poor start to the season. They drew their first two Premier League matches against Fulham and Crystal Palace before losing against their arch rivals Manchester United.
Liverpool came back into winning ways against AFC Bournemouth and hammered 9 goals passed them. They backed up this win with another victory over Newcastle United with the help of a 98-minute goal from their new signing Fabio Carvalho.
In the next match, they again failed to win and only played out a draw against Everton and then miserably lost against Serie A club Napoli.
Although most of these losses have come because of their defensive issues, Liverpool’s forwards have also not been up to the mark.
Their big money signing Nunez had no impact after the first two matches of the season. Nunez even conceded a red card in the Crystal Palace and got banned for three matches.

The forward thus has been criticised a lot by football pundits across the globe. Many have predicted that Klopp took too big a risk while signing Nunez by paying g that amount.
Spanish newspaper took it to another level and termed the 23-year-old forward as a “glaring blemish” on Klopp’s success in the transfer market.
What’s next?
Liverpool’s Premier League game against Wolves will not take place due to tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. The Reds will now face Dutch giants Ajax in their second Champions League match. Klopp will hope to turn around the situation as soon as possible.
