BREAKING: Arsenal vs PSV new date confirmed; Man City game postponed
The matchup between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League has been rescheduled, postponing the north London team’s Premier League matchup with Manchester City in October.
The European match was initially slated for this Thursday but was postponed due to a lack of police personnel in the UK after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The match versus PSV will now take place on Thursday, October 20, with an 18:00 GMT start time.
According to a Premier League statement: “In order to accommodate Arsenal’s rescheduled UEFA Europa League encounter with PSV Eindhoven, the Premier League and UEFA have agreed to postpone Arsenal’s Premier League match against Manchester City, which was originally scheduled to be played on October 19.
“The match between Arsenal and PSV Eindhoven that was initially set for Thursday, September 15 will now take place at 18:00 on Thursday, October 20.
The match between Manchester City and Arsenal will have a new date announced soon.
Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Premier League postponed its round of games as a show of respect.
Although Chelsea vs. Liverpool, Brighton vs. Crystal Palace, and Manchester United vs. Leeds have all been postponed, top-flight games will still take place this week.
