BREAKING: Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘wants to bring PSG chief Luis Campos to Man United’
Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘wants to bring PSG chief Luis Campos to Manchester United if his takeover bid is successful’… with the British billionaire ‘already making plans’ after revealing he is interested in buying out the Glazers at Old Trafford
The British billionaire is keen on purchasing the club from the Glazer family
Campos is currently an advisor on recruitment and performance at PSG
New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is also interested in signing the advisor
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly sounded out the idea of appointing PSG chief Luis Campos as the sporting director of Manchester United if his takeover bid is successful.
The 69-year-old has already admitted that he would be keen on buying the Old Trafford-based side should the Glazers be willing to sell the club.
The British billionaire is believed to be plotting changes he plans to make to the club off the pitch.
PSG advisor Luis Campos is wanted at Manchester United by potential owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Life-long club fan Ratcliffe is keen to buy Manchester United from the Glazer family
Ratcliffe would like to bring Campos to the Red Devils so he can work in a similar role to the one he has at PSG, according to Le Parisien.
United already have John Murtough as the club’s first-ever director of football, and his deputy Andy O’Boyle and former midfielder Darren Fletcher acting as the technical director.
Campos, however, is very highly-rated in the football world having worked as a scout and analyst at LaLiga giants Real Madrid before moving to AS Monaco to be the sporting director.
Fans of the Red Devils are unsatisfied by the current owners of the club and want them out
He has only recently moved to PSG to become an advisor in which he focuses on performance and recruitment at the club, after a short spell with Lille.
Ratcliffe will have to beat Chelsea in order to attract Campos to the club as the Blues new owner Todd Boehly has reportedly offered the Portuguese advisor a deal worth £7million per year to move to Stamford Bridge, as reported by the The Sun.
Boehly is planning to strengthen his set of advisors at the club in order to help decisions with the transfer strategy under new manager Graham Potter.
Ratcliffe, who grew up as a Manchester United fan, announced his intention to buy the Red Devils as fans of the club started protests against the current owners, the Glazer family, who are believed to be willing to sell a small stake in the club.
