BREAKING: ‘Talented’ 22-year-old Arteta has never played surprise inclusion in Arsenal’s confirmed Premier League squad
Arsenal have confirmed their squad for the Premier League season.
The transfer window has now closed and the action gets underway once again this weekend, when the Gunners play against Brentford.
Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking to get back to winning ways in domestic matters after losing to Manchester United in their last league game.
William Saliba, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have all been listed among their under-21 players, as has been the case for the past three seasons.

Lewis named in Arsenal confirmed Premier League squad
There are not often too many surprises, but one name which caught the eye in the confirmed squad is George Lewis.
The Athletic say he is a surprise inclusion and he is yet to make a senior appearance for the club since joining from Fram Larvik in August 2020.
He is a Norwegian 22-year-old who predominantly plays on the left wing, with his most notable Gunners moment a goal in the 2-1 EFL Trophy win over Ipswich the month after he joined.
Injury issues have hampered his progress and his fitness stopped him from moving on loan to Portsmouth last year, according to Rwanda’s New Times.

Club captain Martin Odegaard took part in a Q&A for Arsenal last year and he spoke highly of his fellow Norwegian.
“I speak with George Lewis, obviously he’s Norwegian and we speak the same language so yeah, I speak to him every now and then,” said Odegaard.
“He’s been injured, I know he had a hard time so we speak and he’s a good guy. A talented guy as well.”
Perhaps Arsenal fans will get a chance to see what Odegaard is talking about, although it seems unlikely Lewis would play without a severe injury crisis out wide.
