The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has directed all police formations and departments across the country to submit the complete nominal roll and bank account details of officers and rank-and-file personnel under their command...READ FULL; FROM THE SOURCE.
The directive was contained in a police signal dated March 30, 2026, issued from the IGP Secretariat in Abuja.
The signal, marked “M/IMMEDIATE,” was addressed to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, Commissioners of Police in all states, and heads of specialised police units nationwide.
According to the directive, all formations are required to provide a comprehensive nominal roll of officers, including inspectors and rank-and-file personnel currently serving under their commands.
The submission must also include the bank account details of the officers.
The IGP instructed that the information should be submitted in both hard and soft copies, with the soft copy prepared in an editable Microsoft Excel format.
The electronic version is to be forwarded through the official police email channel. Police commands were given until Thursday, April 9, 2026, to comply with the directive.
The signal emphasised that the request was of “utmost urgency” and must be treated as highly important. It warned that compliance is expected without the need for further reminders.
The signal, referenced CB: 4001/IGP.SEC/ABJ/VOL.124/4 was circulated to numerous police formations, including police colleges, training institutions, tactical units, and specialised departments.
These include the Border Patrol, Maritime Police, Counter-Terrorism units, Interpol, the Police Airwing, and Mobile Police (MOPOL) formations, among others.
