Shettima gave the assurance in his Easter message issued on Sunday through his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, in Abuja.
Naija News reports that the Vice-President reaffirmed the commitment of the administration of Bola Tinubu to peace, economic recovery and long-term prosperity.
He noted that while Nigerians have endured significant hardship, the nation has never been defined by adversity.
“I remain confident that by our collective will, shared sacrifice, and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily,” Shettima said.
Shettima urged citizens to remain united and continue to support the ongoing reforms under the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He stressed that achieving national progress requires patience, endurance and a shared sense of purpose among Nigerians.
The Vice-President also cautioned against division, urging citizens to embrace unity and national cohesion.
According to him, Nigeria’s diversity remains one of its greatest assets and should be harnessed to foster unity and development.
He called on Nigerians to reject divisive tendencies and work together for the common good.
Reflecting on the significance of Easter, Shettima said the season symbolises sacrifice, hope and renewal.
He noted that the Christian message of Easter serves as a reminder that periods of hardship do not last forever.
“Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair.
“It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain and of faith prevailing over fear,” he added.
The Vice-President reiterated his optimism about Nigeria’s future, expressing confidence that the country would emerge stronger from its current challenges through collective effort and resilience.
