1. Iran:

Brunei’s new Islamic law garnered headlines. Theft and homosexuality/adultery are two. The Sultan of Brunei overturned the law after international criticism.
3. Mauritania
Mauritania has traditionally outlawed homosexuality. The crime isn’t serious. The criminal code was based on sharia interpretation until 1983. It criminalizes homophobia. It’s stoned.
4. Qatar
Homosexuality is prohibited in Qatar and carries a 7-year prison sentence. Muslims in this country suffer the death penalty under Sharia if they have intercourse with a male, unmarried woman, or man and woman.
5. Yemen:
Saudi Arabia executes same-sex couples. Saudi Arabia faces terrorist death punishment. Depending on the crime, punishments can include whipping. First-time offenders are generally flogged or imprisoned; repeat offenders may be executed.
6. Afghan:
Afghanistan is homophobic. LGBT people are afraid. Prohibiting homosexuality. Never discussed, immoral, non-Muslim, and a sickness. Commonly, homosexual family members are assassinated to restore the family’s honor. Sharia-compliant. The Taliban, rural, and/or remote areas may be affected.
7. Somalia
Somalia bans homosexuality. This is a 3-to-3-year felony. Other homosexual actions are punishable by two months to two years in prison. In 2012, Somalia’s interim constitution established sharia “supreme law” and made homosexuality a capital offense.
8. U.A.E.
Sudan, UAE ban men’s relationships (the law does not specifically regulate relationships between women). Barbarity is punishable by flogging and/or five years in prison. Third charge is capital. Obscene behavior, even if not evident, might result in 40 lashes and a year in prison.
Any sex besides same-sex marriage is unlawful and punishable by a year in prison. Homosexuality isn’t punishable by death. Legalization can entail criminalizing all same-sex partnerships or just same-sex. Consensual same-sex partnerships were hanged.
9. Pakistan
