Six final-year nursing students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) tragically lost their lives in a road accident while en route to sit for their final exams.
The students, all in their 500-level open and distance learning Bachelor of Nursing Science program, were traveling to Ogbomoso, Oyo State, when the crash occurred. Among the victims was a pregnant student, whose life was cut short in the incident. Their bodies are now in a mortuary, awaiting autopsy and further instructions from authorities.
