The survey showed a sharp drop from 40% recorded the previous week, reflecting increasing dissatisfaction among Americans over the economy and cost of living. Only 25% of respondents approved of Trump’s handling of living costs, a key issue during his 2024 campaign.
Approval of his economic performance also declined to 29%, marking the lowest level across both of his presidencies and below ratings recorded by his predecessor, Joe Biden.
Public sentiment toward the ongoing conflict has also weakened. About 35% of Americans said they support U.S. strikes on Iran, down from 37% the previous week, while 61% expressed disapproval.
Despite the overall decline, Trump continues to maintain strong backing within his Republican base, although concerns about the rising cost of living are beginning to grow even among party supporters.
The poll further revealed that 46% of respondents believe the war with Iran will make the United States less safe in the long run, compared to 26% who think it will improve national security.
The findings highlight mounting pressure on the administration as economic challenges and geopolitical tensions continue to shape public perception.
