A Nigerian woman, Nenye Uzowulu, has advised parents to carefully consider the schools they send their children to, saying that school fees they struggle to pay are no longer regular tuition but “ransom.”

Nenye Uzowulu shared her thoughts on Facebook on Monday, cautioning parents against being pressured by private school owners over rising fees.

“Any school fees you struggle to pay is no longer school fees but Ransom! Take your kids to where you can afford. Same as HouseRent,” she wrote.
Reason Behind the Advice

Explaining her reasoning, Uzowulu said she knows a woman who is constantly in debt, taking loans to pay her children’s school fees.

“I know a woman who is living in debt now. She will always collect loan to pay school fees. Like what kind of mother are you?” she asked.
Rising Fees in Private Schools

In an interview with Arise TV, Mrs. Ajaero explained that the rising cost of essential services and materials has forced many private schools to adjust their tuition fees.

The social media post has sparked widespread reactions online, with many users weighing in and sharing their opinions.

Una say make we no dey advice married people but make una dey born the number of kids you can comfortably care for. You can’t have 6 kids when you can’t even feed yourself and 2 kids comfortably. Those kids may end up hating you so much.”

Public and government schools are still better because nobody has a personal interest. Teachers are just there to deliver and do their job. I went to a government primary and secondary school, and I am academically sound.”

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about a terrifying health scare that nearly cost him his life during a tonsil surgery.

The artiste revealed that the medical procedure took place around the time he released his hit single “Declan Rice.”

What was meant to be a simple surgery to remove his tonsils reportedly turned into a serious emergency that lasted several hours.

According to the rapper, the operation, which was supposed to take about 30 minutes, unexpectedly stretched into five hours due to complications.

Fortunately, another doctor who was usually far from the hospital happened to be nearby and quickly came to assist, helping to save his life.

After the procedure, Odumodublvck said he struggled with fear and uncertainty, believing he might not survive.

He recalled how he expressed this fear to his 71-year-old mother before eventually recovering.

He said in a viral video: “That’s so crazy because I thought I was going to d!e. That’s so crazy. When I dropped Declan Rice, that’s when I did the surgery. I took out my tonsils. I don’t have tonsils, and when I did the surgery the first time, this is the first time I’m saying this on camera.

“Surgery of 20 minutes or 30 minutes took five hours. The guy that was doing the surgery said that in 12 years of doing that surgery, he has never asked for help. But that day, he asked for help, and the guy he asked was staying one hour away.

“But that day when he called, he was two minutes away at the filling station. He just came in , even the hospital did not know he came in. He came like an angel and went. When the surgery was done, I thought I was actually going to d!e. I was telling my mother that I’m not going to make it.”
