Shocking bodycam footage caught the moment a married teacher confessed to luring a pupil, aged 11, into her home for “play dates” in her bed.

Alley Bardfield, 34, was arrested and later admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse with the underage boy on the bed she typically shared with her husband at their home. Newly released bodycam footage showed the US teacher’s horrified 12-word confession after the arresting officer asked why she did this to the young boy. Bardfield had also sent over £500 to the teen over several months and exchanged nude photos with the boy on Snapchat, a court heard.

When the arresting officer asked why she sent nudes to the boy, she replied: “He kept asking and asking and asking and wouldn’t leave me alone.”

Bardfield shockingly told a cop that the young boy made advances on her and blamed him for the disgusting ordeal. This came to light when the boy’s parents became suspicious after noticing their son behaving unusually at home.

His parents discovered the 11-year-old had been visiting Bardfield’s house in Mount Zion, Illinois, after they looked through his phone. These visits were referred to as “play dates” by Bardfield, one of which disturbingly led to a sexual encounter.

When the parents confronted their son about the messages they found, he confessed to what had happened, prompting them to alert the police. They also stumbled upon pictures of their son and the teacher together at her home.

The distraught mother rushed him to the hospital where a rape kit was administered following his revelation in April 2024. Subsequently, the family and authorities hatched a plan to trap Bardfield through incriminating text messages and recorded calls with the student, according to the Daily Star.

The boy sent her a message saying he was leaving town but hoped to see her again upon his return. He wrote: “I love you and I miss you, Alley. When I come back I’ll see if I can come over.” The teacher allegedly responded: “You’re always welcome. I love and miss you too.”

Police secured a court order for a wiretap, during which the boy called Bardfield and she informed him “her tubes are tied and that she cannot get pregnant”. The affidavit further detailed: “The victim asked Alley if he came over this weekend… if they could ‘do it again’. Alley responded: ‘Yes’.”

Bardfield admitted to predatory criminal assault against a minor and she was promptly dismissed from her position as a supply teacher. She is due to be sentenced on September 25.

The school issued a statement saying: “While none of the alleged conduct occurred at a school, student safety is always our top priority. We are working with Mount Zion Police and providing support to students and staff.”
