Ladoja noted that he was unable to attend the university because he wanted to study technology when he sought admission for higher education.

Ladoja made these revelations when the principal officers of the university paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday.
DAILY POST reports that the delegation was led by the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kayode Adebowale.
The former governor, while addressing the gathering, noted that despite the proliferation of universities in the country, the university has maintained its position as the best in the country.
He also maintained that the institution remains the pride of the academia and the people of Ibadan in particular.
Ladoja also enjoined the institution to harness the strength of other research institutes in the ancient city.
He added that this will help to facilitate the fulfilment of its mandate and for the betterment of the people of the ancient city.
Adebowale, while speaking, reiterated that the university owes its existence to the generosity of the Ibadan people, which depicts the hospitality for which Ibadan is well known.
