Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has mocked former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following the outcome of the by-election in the state.

Soludo said the results of Saturday’s by-elections in the state showed that the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress, ADC, are “dead” and “non-existent” in Anambra.

Soludo also mocked Obi, who supported ADC candidates in the polls, insisting the party does not exist in Anambra.

“ADC does not exist in Anambra. We showed it yesterday, Saturday. Labour Party is dead,” Soludo said.

According to him, the ADC opposition coalition had sought to use the by-election in Anambra to test its popularity, but “the people spoke overwhelmingly with over 75%.”

He added: “APGA is our movement.”

DAILY POST reports that Obi, a member of the Labour Party, had aligned with the ADC coalition seeking to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
