Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has named former Manchester United duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Louis Saha as her idols growing up.
The 30-year-old disclosed this while reflecting on her humble beginnings as a young female footballer.

The six-time CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year added that she didn’t have any female football idol while growing up.
“I did not have a female idol that I looked up to when I was younger because the games weren’t televised,” Oshoala said.
“You don’t see them in newspapers, news, and all that. I used to follow the male teams; I supported male sportspeople more. I liked Cristiano Ronaldo and Louis Saha.
“Most of the time, Barcelona and United players are always my favourite players.”
Oshoala recently won her fourth African Women’s Cup of Nations title with the Super Falcons after Nigeria beat Morocco 3–2 in the grand finale.
