Shock and disbelief have gripped a Texas community after police arrested a 16-year-old girl accused of fatally shooting her mother multiple times inside their home on Avenue Q in Galveston.
Authorities said the tragic incident unfolded on Thursday morning. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was rushed to UTMB Health where she was later pronounced dead. A firearm believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered at the scene.
