As earlier reported by eelive.ng, Kirk, a co-founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent ally of former U.S. President Donald Trump was reportedly shot dead on Wednesday at the age of 31 while hosting a college event for the organisation.
Charlie Kirk

Former President Trump, had via his Truth Social platform announced his death saying:

“The great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk is dead. No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”

Before the incident, Kirk was seen as both a rising force in conservative activism and a deeply polarising figure. His social media platforms and his popular daily podcast regularly showcased him debating students on issues such as climate change, religion and family values, but his remarks on gender, race and politics also drew strong liberal criticism.

A video circulating online appears to show some young Americans reacting to the news of his reported death with indifference or even satisfaction.

One person said, “I feel happy, goodbye,” while another responded, “That’s good,” when asked how they felt about the activist’s death.

Others in the clip accused Kirk of misogyny, with one remarked saying, “Girl, someone had to do it that’s how I feel at this point in time.”

Expressing her dismay over the reactions, Angela Okorie via the comment section of the post condemned the lack of empathy shown by the young people featured in the video.

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about a terrifying health scare that nearly cost him his life during a tonsil surgery.

The artiste revealed that the medical procedure took place around the time he released his hit single “Declan Rice.”

What was meant to be a simple surgery to remove his tonsils reportedly turned into a serious emergency that lasted several hours.

According to the rapper, the operation, which was supposed to take about 30 minutes, unexpectedly stretched into five hours due to complications.

Fortunately, another doctor who was usually far from the hospital happened to be nearby and quickly came to assist, helping to save his life.

After the procedure, Odumodublvck said he struggled with fear and uncertainty, believing he might not survive.

He recalled how he expressed this fear to his 71-year-old mother before eventually recovering.

He said in a viral video: “That’s so crazy because I thought I was going to d!e. That’s so crazy. When I dropped Declan Rice, that’s when I did the surgery. I took out my tonsils. I don’t have tonsils, and when I did the surgery the first time, this is the first time I’m saying this on camera.

“Surgery of 20 minutes or 30 minutes took five hours. The guy that was doing the surgery said that in 12 years of doing that surgery, he has never asked for help. But that day, he asked for help, and the guy he asked was staying one hour away.

“But that day when he called, he was two minutes away at the filling station. He just came in , even the hospital did not know he came in. He came like an angel and went. When the surgery was done, I thought I was actually going to d!e. I was telling my mother that I’m not going to make it.”
