Nigerian woman welcomes quadruplets at 50 after marrying at 48

A 50-year-old Nigerian woman has shared how she welcomed quadruplets: two boys and two girls after years of waiting to get married and have children.

Olushola Olonade gave the testimony on Sunday during a church service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Solid Rock Parish, in the Ojodu area of Lagos.

According to Olonade, she got married on December 12, 2023, at the age of 48 after what she described as a long wait for a husband. Following her wedding, she prayed not to experience another delay before becoming a mother...To Read The Full Content; Tap Here Now .

Medical scans during her pregnancy initially suggested she was expecting twins before later revealing triplets and eventually quadruplets.

“My name is Olushola Olonade. I used to be Olushola Adeniji for 48 years. I got married on December 12, 2023, after a long wait,” she said.

“I have always said I do not want to wait twice. I waited for my husband. I do not want to wait for children. I took in last year.

“When we went for the first scan, the doctor said he was seeing twins. I told my husband that even if it is one, they will stop calling me Mummy Shola.

“We went for a second scan, and it was another doctor. He said he was seeing three. We went back again, and the doctor asked how many he had told me before. I said three.

“Before then, I had a crisis. He said, ‘I think I am seeing four.’ I said four. So, I told my husband that I was not coming back home.”

Olonade gave birth to the quadruplets on March 6, 2026, just three weeks before celebrating her 50th birthday on March 31.

She said multiple births run in her family, noting that several relatives, including her aunt, were astonished by the arrival of the four babies.

“The beauty of the testimony is that I had them three weeks before my 50th. I clocked 50 on March 31, 2026. We have a lot of twins in my family,” she added.

“I want to thank God for sparing my life. The living was not brought out of the dead, and the dead was not brought out of the living.”
