Authorities said the child was not seriously injured. She was checked by paramedics at the scene but not taken to a hospital by ambulance.
An investigation revealed Vasey allegedly grabbed the child’s arm and her parents and bystanders stepped in to prevent him from taking her.
A tug-of-war broke out, with the child’s mum grabbing the other arm and struggling with Vasey so significantly that the girl was lifted off the ground.
The child’s father and other bystanders also jumped in and punched, slapped and pulled on the suspect which caused him to release the girl.
One bystander even used pepper spray in an effort to repel Vasey. The girl and her family informed police they had been visiting Portland from out of state.
Earlier this year, a different n@ked man was arrested after he stole an ambulance with a patient still inside before leading cops on a wild chase.
Benjamin Feltz, 37, was charged with 10 crimes including four felonies, after being arrested while naked by Wisconsin Rapids Police Department.
The chase went on for over 18 miles and lasted about 40 minutes before stopping at State Highway 73 near the intersection of Wood County X in Pittsville, when Feltz allegedly drove into a muddy field.
