A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Emmanuel Odigie, has urged President Bola Tinubu’s supporters to make a shift in political messaging ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying the current administration’s mandate is gradually winding down and should give way to discussions on renewal.
Odigie made the remarks on Thursday while speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show, where he reacted to Tinubu’s recent visit to the United Kingdom.
He described the trip as a positive step, expressing hope that it would strengthen bilateral relations and yield tangible economic benefits for Nigeria.
According to him, such foreign engagements should go beyond ceremonial activities and translate into concrete outcomes, particularly in attracting investment into the country.
He stressed the need for signed agreements and memoranda of understanding to be promptly implemented rather than abandoned.
